ICTS Director Rajesh Gopakumar was recognised as an ‘Outstanding Referee’ by the American Physical Society. This lifetime award is given annually to ‘recognise scientists who have been exceptionally helpful in assessing manuscripts for publication in the APS journals.’ The Outstanding Referee Program is highly selective and chooses about 150 of the roughly 82,000 currently active referees.
