Description:
International Journal of Theoretical Physics is a peer-reviewed (single blind) journal entirely dedicated to the development and fostering of theoretical physics as an overarching and unifying conceptual, mathematical, methodological and computational framework for carrying out fundamental research in physics. The journal is particularly interested in articles that combine several aspects of the above, with contributions exposing either new and broadly applicable theoretical methods or uncovering connections between hitherto independent theoretical approaches from various branches of physics being particularly welcome. Papers submitted to the journal should clearly state in the abstract and in the introduction what contribution to theoretical physics, viewed broadly, is intended to be given. The journal is striving foremost for originality and depth of content. It accepts both research and review articles, as well as perspective papers. Perspective papers are articles that - within the scope of the journal - describe research explicitly crossing the disciplinary borders of various fields of physics, and may be more essay-like. They should be written in an accessible way and address the broadest possible audience. Review articles may also take the form of advanced postgraduate-level lecture notes. The journal occasionally publishes topical collections, topics and guest editors are selected on an invitation-only basis. The journal will generally not consider the following: - Papers limited to purely phenomenological aspects and technical details within a given branch of physics - Papers limited to either History, Philosophy or Foundations of Physics (resp. by invitation only) - Papers limited to incremental progress on previously published results. | Springer
