Abstract

Firstly, I will explain geometric invariant properties of some special curves lying on smooth immersed surfaces under isometric (or conformal) transformations. (2) A submanifold is said to be of finite type if its position vector admits a finite spectral decomposition. These include an important class of all minimal submanifolds of Euclidean spaces. In this connection, I will explain certain existence and non-existence results (3) Various relations between Ramanujan identities and minimal surfaces will be explained, and lastly if the time permits, I will present some inequalities for statistical manifolds.
