Recently, certain infinite towers of soft theorems associated with the self-dual sector of gravity were discovered by recasting scattering amplitudes in a conformal primary basis. The generators of the soft theorems miraculously organize themselves into a certain infinite-dimensional algebra which arises in 2d CFTs. I will discuss how this miracle is almost tautological from the perspective of twistor theory, which enables a first-principles derivation of many of recent results in celestial holography.
