Passed S.S.C. OR Equivalent from a recognized Board.
OR
National Trade Certificate (NTC) awarded by National Council of Vocational Training (NCVT) in Information communication technology system maintenance/ Mechanic cum operator electronic communication system/ Computer hardware & network maintenance -
One year of experience in the office environment and handling information communication technology systems or handling electronic communication systems.
Age - Maximum 28 years (Age relaxation as per rules)

Experience in Information communication technology systems like CCTV operations, EPABX, GPS monitoring, handling of fax, computer hardware and networking, public announcement system.
Job Profile:
Operating information communication technology systems of the Center.
Assist the engineering department in the maintenance of information communication technology systems/ Electronic communication systems.
Any other work assigned to him as and when required.
General Information:
- The above post is tenable at ICTS, Bangalore
- Benefits under TIFR Service:
- These posts carry usual allowances i.e. Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance (TA) etc. as admissible to the Central Government employees stationed in Bangalore and as made applicable to TIFR.
- In addition to the emoluments indicated against the posts, benefits such as reimbursement of medical expenses, leave travel concession, conveyance advance and house building advance etc. are available as per the rules of TIFR.
- The qualifications prescribed should have been obtained from recognized university/institution/boards and mention the percentage at the appropriate column in the application form.
- Candidates should ensure that he/she possesses the required educational qualification/experience in the relevant area on July 1, 2022. The prescribed age should not exceed as of July 1, 2022 for the above post.
- Applicants with educational qualifications higher than that specified, in both Essential and Desirable columns, will not be considered for Work Assistant Post.
- The selection process will consist of a skill/trade test and a written test (MCQ and Subjective).The Skill/trade test will be of qualifying nature i.e. Qualified/Not Qualified (Cut off marks is 60%). Less than 60% in written test shall not be considered eligible for selection. Merit list of candidates will be prepared based on marks in the written test.
- The selected candidate is liable to be transferred to other Centers/Field Stations of the Institute if required.
- Higher starting salary could be considered for the deserving candidate for the above post.
- Appointment for the post will be initially for a period of three years, including probation period of one year. Continuing appointment beyond the initial period of three years will be subject to the results of a probation review, comprehensive review and performance appraisal. After successful review, the appointment is continued till superannuation age, which is sixty.
- Selected candidates for the above post will be governed by the National Pension System applicable to the Central Government service [unless she/he is already governed by CCS (Pension) Rules1972]. The selected candidate will be entitled to the medical facilities as per the rules of the Centre and will become a member of the Contributory Health Service Scheme (CHSS).
- Post/s for general category (Unreserved) – SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD candidates can also apply.

- Applicants working in Government/Semi-Government/ Public Sector Undertaking/Government Funded Research Agencies must apply online and send their printed application along with all relevant documents through proper channel by Indian Post or Speed Post. Applicants who do not send their applications through proper channel, if called, will be able to participate in the recruitment process only upon submission of a NOC from the competent authority. However, an advance copy of application along with relevant enclosures may be submitted by post.
- Application incomplete in any respect i.e without a photocopy of certificate in support of age relaxation, proof of DOB, education certificates, experience certificates, ID proof, category certificate (if applicable) and applications received after the last date shall not be considered and summarily rejected.
- Online applications must be submitted by 30 July 2022 and the applications by post must reach Head Administration and Finance, ICTS-TIFR campus, Survey No. 151, Shivakote Village, Hesaraghatta Hobli, North Bangalore 560089 by 30 July 2022. Applicants who are required to send the applications by post must superscribe the post applied for, the advertisement number of the post on the envelope. The format of the application is as prescribed above.
- The candidates are required to produce the following original documents with copies at the time of the recruitment process:
