The International Centre for Theoretical Sciences (ICTS) of the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), a premier research center (an Autonomous, Grant-in-Aid Institution of the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India and a Deemed University) is looking for highly motivated and self-driven individuals for the below posts at its Bengaluru Campus. The required qualifications and experience are given below:

1. Technical Trainee - Audio Visual (AV) 

Essential Qualifications:

• Science Graduate from a recognized University/Institute OR Diploma in Engineering in Computer Science (CS), Information Science (IS), Electronics & Communication (EC), Information Technology (IT), Audio Visual(AV), Cinematography (CN), Sound Recording (SR), Computer Hardware and Networking and equivalent.

Experience: 

• Freshers with relevant skills preferred.

Nature of training:

• Setting up the sound and video equipment

• Operations of  AV equipment/devices i.e. microphones, sound speakers, projectors, stage lights, video monitoring, recording equipment, basic video editing, connecting wires, and cables. 

• Hybrid VC setup and handling for meetings and events.

2. Technical Trainee - Information Technology (IT)

Essential Qualifications:

• Science Graduate from a recognized University/Institute OR Diploma in Engineering in Computer Science (CS), Information Science (IS), Electronics & Communication (EC), Information Technology (IT), Computer Hardware and Networking and equivalent.

Experience: 

• Freshers with relevant skills preferred

Nature of training: 

• Setting up, maintenance, and auditing of workstations, laptops, and printers. 

• Installing, upgrading, and troubleshooting the IT hardware systems. 

• Installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of Windows, Linux, and Mac operating systems and Applications. Hybrid VC setup and handling for meetings and events.

3. Technical Trainee - Web Development (Web)

Essential Qualifications:

• Science Graduate from a recognized University/Institute OR Diploma in Engineering in Computer Science (CS), Information Science (IS), Information Technology (IT), and equivalent.

Experience: 

• Freshers with relevant skills preferred

Nature of training:

Training in the areas of web development projects, development of Android and IOS apps, Drupal CMS, PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, Jquery, JAVA, Javascript, LAMP stack, and various Opensource technologies.

General Instructions:

1. All the above posts are tenable at ICTS, Bangalore.

2. Appointments for the above posts will be initially for 06 (six) months which may be extended up to 01 (One) year depending upon the individual’s performance and the requirements of the Centre. The tenure, however, could be extended for another year if felt necessary after review and the requirement of the center. 
   This trainee scheme is purely a facility for on-job training provided to individuals. Selected candidate(s) will be required to join immediately. Trainees would not have any claim for any permanent or temporary appointment in the institute either during or after the training period. 

3. Prescribed age and experience should not exceed as on 01 July 2023 for the above posts. 

4. Interested candidates should fill out the google form by 05 September 2023 and report for the selection process on Wednesday, 6th September 2023 along with their CV and the following original documents for verification with a photocopy.

• Identity Proof (Adhar Card / Election Card / PAN Card / Passport / Driving License).
• Date of birth/ Proof of age.
• Educational Qualification (all mark sheets and certificates).
  The qualifications prescribed should have been obtained from recognized Universities/Institutions/Boards. In case Universities/Board award letter grades/CGPA/OGPA, the same will have to be indicated as an equivalent percentage of marks as per the norms adopted by the University/Board. In the absence of the same, the candidature will not be considered.
• ​Experience certificates (if any).
  Reporting time: 10:00 am
  Location: ICTS campus, Hesaraghatta, Bengaluru (please report at the main security gate on arrival). 

5. No reservation would be applicable as this is purely a training scheme.

6. Before applying for the post, the candidate should ensure that he/she fulfills the eligibility and other criteria. Recruitment authorities would be free to reject applications not fulfilling the requisite criteria, at any stage of recruitment, and if erroneously appointed, such candidates shall be liable to be terminated from service if appointed.

7. The Center reserves the right to restrict the number of candidates for the recruitment process to a reasonable limit on the basis of qualifications and experience higher than the minimum prescribed in the advertisement. Mere fulfilling the essential and desirable qualifications and experience will not entitle an applicant to be called for the recruitment process.
