The International Centre for Theoretical Sciences of the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (ICTS- TIFR), a premier research centre (an Autonomous, Grant-in-Aid Institution of the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India and a Deemed University) is looking for a highly motivated and self-driven individuals for the below post under the unreserved category at its Bengaluru Campus. Essential Qualifications & Experience:

 

Age - Maximum 28 years (Age relaxation as per rules)

 

Desirable: 

  • Proficient in oral and written communication in English.

  • Proficient in computer skills (like MS Office, Spreadsheets, Google docs etc.) and with excellent interpersonal skills.

 

Job Profile: 
This job involves providing administrative support for all the admin related tasks of the Centre. This broadly includes the following functions:-

  • Providing logistical support for the graduate admissions, academic visitors. Handling the academic affairs of the graduate program.

  • Maintaining registration forms, participant lists, handling the logistical requirements of the academic/program visitors, handling queries and assisting in reports.

  • Updating the personal files of scholars/PDF’s/visiting students, maintaining office indexes, and preparing various letters and correspondences.

  • Managing DAE and FRRO formalities of foreigners, coordinating for MEA clearance.

  • Any other task assigned by the Section incharges.

 

General Instructions:

  1. The above post is tenable at ICTS, Bangalore

  2. Appointment for the above post will be initially for one year which may be extended depending upon the individual’s performance and the requirements of the Centre. The selected candidate(s) will be required to join immediately.

  3. Prescribed age should not exceed as on July 1, 2024 for the above post.

  4. The qualifications prescribed should have been obtained from recognized university/institution/boards. Wherever grades are awarded by Universities/Institutes in CGPA/SGPA/OGPA etc. system, candidates are requested to convert the same into percentage based on the formula adopted by the University/Institute and mention the percentage at the appropriate column in the application form.

    6. Candidates applying for the above post and who are eligible for further age relaxation as per extant TIFR or GOI rules are required to submit a copy of the relevant certificate in support of age relaxation (for example ex-servicemen, persons with benchmark disabilities etc.) 
  6. Incomplete applications in any respect i.e without a photocopy of the certificate in support of age relaxation, proof of DOB, education certificates, experience certificates, ID proof, caste certificate (if applicable) and applications received after the last date shall not be considered.

  7. Post/s for general category (unreserved) - SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD candidates can also apply. SC, ST, OBC and EWS candidates applying for unreserved posts are not eligible for age relaxation.

  8. The Institute reserves the right to conduct written tests, skill tests, and interviews online/in person or postpone or cancel the entire selection process for any or all posts herein advertised. 

  9. More vacancies may also be filled through this advertisement. The Institute reserves the right not to fill any/some posts herein advertised. Canvassing in any form and/or bringing in any influence political or otherwise will be treated as a disqualification for the post.

  10. The prescribed Essential Qualifications are a bare minimum and mere possession of the same will not entitle the candidates to be called for appearing in the selection process. The Screening Committee will adopt its own criteria to shortlist the candidates. The Candidates should, therefore, furnish in the relevant field/column all the qualifications and experience that they have acquired over and above the minimum prescribed qualifications. Screening of applications is based on the basis of information furnished online. In case information furnished is false or no proper documentary evidence could be produced in support of information furnished online at the time of appearing for the selection process, such candidates will not be allowed to appear for the selection process. The Candidates should, therefore, furnish the information for which they have proper documentary evidence.

  11. Before applying for the post, the candidate should ensure that he/she fulfills the eligibility and other criteria.
