The International Centre for Theoretical Sciences (ICTS), Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Bengaluru is inviting applications from highly motivated candidates interested in pursuing doctoral research in Mathematics.
ICTS is a novel institution with a three-pronged mandate: to conduct world-class research in theoretical sciences, to provide a platform to organize various visitor-driven programs for the benefit of the wider scientific community, and to spread scientific temper and the spirit of inquiry through public outreach activities. ICTS hosts research groups in mathematical physics, geometry, topology, probability, differential equations, numerical analysis, and geophysical fluid dynamics. In addition to faculty members in Mathematics, students at ICTS have the opportunity to work on physics research problems with physics faculty members.

- CSIR UGC NET (Mathematical Sciences - JRF eligible)
Eligible candidates can apply to the ICTS graduate program by completing the ONLINE APPLICATION. All applicants must upload electronic copies of their transcripts, CV, a statement of purpose, and contact details of two referees. If you are applying through the UGC-CSIR stream, then you will need to upload UGC-CSIR NET scorecard (this is not required for the TIFR GS Exam).
The deadline for ONLINE APPLICATION is 04 March 2025 and the referee deadline is 11 March 2025.
