International Centre for Theoretical Sciences (ICTS) of the Tata Institute for Fundamental Research (TIFR), a premier research centre (an Autonomous, Grant-in-Aid Institution of the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India) invites applications for the post (one) of Project Hospitality Supervisor for its office at Bangalore. The individual should be highly motivated person having ‘hands on’ experience in dealing with hospitality, food & beverages , Guest house management. The selected candidate shall be offered consolidated salary based on qualification and experience. The contract will be initially for a period of one year and may be further extended depending on the performance.
Essential Qualification:
- Graduate degree in Hotel Management and catering technology with 2 years of work experience in reputed hotel/ hostel/company or an institute
OR - Diploma in Hotel Management and Catering Technology (BHMCT) with 3 years of work experience in reputed hotel/ hostel/company or an institute
OR - Graduate with 5 years of work experience in reputed hotel/ hostel/company or an institute
- Knowledge of use of personal computers and its applications
Desirable:
- Specialisation course in Food and Beverages / Housekeeping & Guest House Management.
- The person should have a good flair for organizing events and coordinating with several different agencies. Excellent spoken and written English and a keen eye for detail are highly desirable.
Job Profile:
This job involves assisting the ICTS Officer in-charge for Development and Services in ensuring smooth functioning of the services at campus. Major responsibilities include the following:
- Supervising the day-to-day administrative tasks of the guest house functioning
- Supervising work of outsourced agency for housekeeping and landscaping specially in and around the guest house premises
- Supervising the work of outsourced agency for canteen and hospitality services
- Monitoring campus transport services
Upper Age limit: Below 30 years (as on 1.7.2015)
Tenure: Initial appointment will be for 1 year which may be extended depending upon performance. It is a project appointment for a maximum of 3 years.
Location: Bangalore
The selected candidates will be required to join at the earliest. Salary will be fixed appropriately for a candidate with higher qualification and relevant experience.
