The International Centre for Theoretical Sciences (ICTS) of the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), a premier research center (an Autonomous, Grant-in-Aid Institution of the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India and a Deemed University) is looking for highly motivated and self-driven individuals for the below posts at its Bengaluru Campus. The required qualifications and experience are given below:

1. Library Trainee

Essential Qualification:

• Graduate from recognised University/Institute (Science Preferable) and B. Lib. from recognised University/Institute.

Freshers with relevant skills are preferred.

Nature of Training: Training on Koha Library Management System, Library RFID system, DSpace Institutional repository, and daily activities of the library operations.

 

2. Clerk Trainee 

Essential Qualification:

• B.Com / BBA Graduates from a recognized university/ institute.
• Knowledge of typing and use of personal computers and applications.

Desirable Qualification:

• PGDM Or MBA with specialization in Finance or Logistics & supply chain management
• Working Knowledge of Tally ERP.

Freshers with computer & typing knowledge can apply for this position.

Nature of Training: Training in the areas of Accounts, Financial rules applicable for Government organisations, Government Procurement Procedures, Stores management

 

3. Clerk Trainee

Essential Qualification:

• Graduate from a recognized university/ institute.
• Knowledge of typing and use of personal computers and applications.

Desirable Qualification:

• Proficiency in basic mathematics and statistics, letter writing and good communication skills.

Freshers with computer & typing knowledge can apply for this position.

Nature of Training: Training in the areas of General Administration, exposure to management of international  meeting/ seminar / workshops

 

4. Technical Trainee 

Essential Qualification:

• Science Graduate from a recognized University/Institute in Physics. 
• Knowledge of using personal computers and applications.

Freshers with relevant skills are preferred.

Nature of training:

• Training on setting up labs, managing and maintaining the equipment and instruments for experiments, material procurement and processing for vendor payment.

 

General Instructions:

1. All the above posts are tenable at ICTS, Bangalore.

2. Appointments for the above posts will be initially for 06 (six) months which may be extended up to 01 (One) year depending upon the individual’s performance and the requirements of the Centre. The tenure, however, could be extended for another year if felt necessary after review and the requirement of the center. 

3. This trainee scheme is purely a facility for on-job training provided to individuals. Selected candidate(s) will be required to join immediately. Trainees would not have any claim for any permanent or temporary appointment in the institute either during or after the training period. 

4. Prescribed age and experience should not exceed as on 01 July 2024 for the above posts. No age relaxations would be applicable for trainee posts. 

5. Interested candidates should report for the selection process on Monday, 22 July 2024 along with their CV and the following original documents for verification with a photocopy.

   1. Identity Proof (Adhar Card / Election Card / PAN Card / Passport / Driving License).

   2. Resume/CV

   3. Date of birth/ Proof of age.

   4. Educational Qualification (all mark sheets and certificates).
      ​The qualifications prescribed should have been obtained from recognized Universities/Institutions/Boards. In case Universities/Board award letter grades/CGPA/OGPA, the same will have to be indicated as an equivalent percentage of marks as per the norms adopted by the University/Board. In the absence of the same, the candidature will not be considered. 

   5. Experience certificates (if any).
      Reporting time: 10:00 am
      Location: ICTS campus, Hesaraghatta, Bengaluru (please report at the main security gate on arrival). 

6. No reservation would be applicable as this is purely a training scheme.

7. Leave: Entitlement of leave will be as per Institute leave rules for Trainees.

8. The training period could be truncated for any reason with a notice of one month on either side.

9. Working hours for  trainees shall be similar to the regular employees but they would have to work on Saturdays and holidays, as per the requirement of the department/section. They will not be eligible for any OT allowances.

10. Before applying for the post, the candidate should ensure that he/she fulfills the eligibility and other criteria. Recruitment authorities would be free to reject applications not fulfilling the requisite criteria, at any stage of recruitment, and if erroneously appointed, such candidates shall be liable to be terminated from service if appointed.

11. The Center reserves the right to restrict the number of candidates for the recruitment process to a reasonable limit on the basis of qualifications and experience higher than the minimum prescribed in the advertisement. Mere fulfilling the essential and desirable qualifications and experience will not entitle an applicant to be called for the recruitment process. More vacancies may also be filled through this advertisement. The center reserves the right not to fill any/some posts herein advertised.
