Research Interest (Jed Pixley): Jed’s research focuses on the discovery, characterization, and prediction of correlated quantum phases of matter as well as the intriguing phase transitions among them, both in and out of equilibrium. His work uses a combination of analytic techniques and computational approaches to describe a wide range of problems in the areas of condensed matter physics, atomic, molecular, and optical physics, statistical physics, computational physics, quantum information, and quantum computing. Current focuses involve emergent phenomena in stacked and twisted two-dimensional materials and the dynamics of quantum measurements in open systems.
