Broadly, I categorize my research interests into two classes: to understand the correct effective description of quantum gravity at low energies and the precise relation between the EFTs and their UV completion. The research directions undertaken within my graduate work i.e., the study of black hole paradoxes, is directed towards the first class. In this regard, there are strong hints that a lot still needs to be understood, especially questions regarding a precise understanding of black hole microstates and the notion of entanglement in bulk gravity. Regarding the second class, I am interested in whether physical constraints on the analytic structure of amplitudes can be utilized to put questions related to the swampland program on a firmer footing.
