Controllable systems have many applications in different branches of science and engineering. Approximately controllable systems are more prevalent than exactly controllable systems. Approximately controllable systems have many potential applications, especially in some problems arising in Aerospace engineering, Diffusion Systems, Nuclear Reactors, Robotics, and Missiles. On the other hand regularization methods play a crucial role in obtaining stable approximate solutions to ill-posed problems.
In the control theory literature, Tikhonov regularization is not given much attention in the context of the problems related to approximately controllable systems which are ill posed in the sense of Hadamard. In this talk I deliver how to compute control for approximately controllable linear and semilinear systems using Tikhonov regularization.
