Abstract
At the opposite end of close-to-equilibrium statistical mechanics, there is a way of characterizing the steady condition far-from-equilibrium. We present the expression of the occupation distribution for Markov jump processes under local detailed balance with large dissipation rates. It appears that life time and accessibility determine the dominant condition. Similarly, we show how (extra) currents can be generated by changing those, while fixing the (large) driving.
