Abstract
Double scaled SYK (DS-SYK) is a one parameter deformation of the SYK model which is exactly solvable at all energies. It turns out that DS-SYK is a q-deformation of the Schwarzian which is the low energy limit of the SYK model. I will discuss how the model is solved by combinatorial techniques and describe the emergence of an effective hamiltonian. I will also discuss how this effective hamiltonian can be obtained as a reduction of a particle moving on q-deformed AdS_2. I will end with some generalizations to models with global symmetries.
