Abstract

Compact stars are the dense, final stage of normal stars. Due to their small size and large mass, compact stars have a strong gravitational pull. They can also rotate very quickly and have powerful magnetic fields. These extreme properties allow compact stars to emit high-energy radiation. Finding the stable structure of a compact star with a strong magnetic field and rotation is a difficult task. This talk will discuss the numerical methods used to model compact stars and the astrophysical importance of these models.
