Abstract
We are living in an exciting time when gravitational wave astronomy and shadow observations are providing us with new ways to probe strong gravity regimes. This is a high time to test various predictions of general relativity and constrain possible deviations from it. In this spirit, I will present a few of my ongoing works that probe various aspects of modified gravity and the post-Kerr paradigm. In particular, I will discuss how to censor certain classes of modified gravity, how to test the presence of spacetime symmetries and various environmental effects on black hole ringdown.
