Arvind Gupta was inspired by the Hoshangabad Science Teaching Program which endeavored to imbue the love of science in village children. He took the Toys from Trash project to enable the poorest children to learn science without much expense. He worked for 11-years at IUCAA’s Children’s Science Center. The team designed and documented an array of low-cost science learning aids. The center was also instrumental in getting over a 100 books on Education and Science translated in Marathi. He has translated over 450 books in Hindi.
Arvind Gupta has conducted workshops in over 3000 schools. His website www.arvindguptatoys hosts 8600 videos of Toys from Trash in 18 languages which have been viewed by over 70-million children worldwide. There are over 5500 passionate books on Education, Environment, Peace, Science, Math and Children’s books in many Indian languages.
