In the past twenty years, the discovery of the AdS/CFT correspondence has revolutionized the study of string theory and quantum gravity. The correspondence has also led to the discovery of far-reaching connections between string theory and other seemingly unrelated areas of physics, including the study of strongly correlated condensed matter systems and fluid dynamics. This meeting is a celebration of 20 years of the AdS/CFT correspondence, and will bring together experts in this area to take stock of the progress that has been made, and identify promising directions for future research in this area.
The Infosys-ICTS Chandrasekhar Lectures by Juan Maldacena will also be part of this discussion meeting.
