Partial differential equations of fluid mechanics are ubiquitous in nature and applications; yet, they are nonlinear and present great challenges for rigorous mathematical analysis. Important topics such as global regularity, finite-time blow-up, and mixing have witnessed remarkable developments in the past decade based on techniques from harmonic analysis and stochastic analysis, and yet still present many challenges. The purpose of this workshop is to bring together internationally renowned researchers from U.S, Asia, and Europe to discuss new findings in detail so that further advances can be made. The workshop will also invite selected young participants to help them advance their careers.
Eligiblity criteria: PhD students, postdocs, and young faculty members are all welcome to apply for this program.
Accommodation will be provided for outstation participants at our on campus guest house.
ICTS is committed to building an environment that is inclusive, non discriminatory and welcoming of diverse individuals. We especially encourage the participation of women and other under-represented groups.
