ICTS graduate student Chandranathan Anandavijayan has been selected for the prestigious Nordita Visiting PhD Fellowship.

This highly competitive fellowship supports doctoral students across the research areas represented at Nordita, enabling them to spend one to two months collaborating with faculty and researchers at the institute. Chandranathan, who is pursuing his PhD under the supervision of Pallavi Bhat at ICTS-TIFR, will work with Axel Brandenburg on the topic of primordial magnetic fields, a central theme of his doctoral research.

Centre Director Rajesh Gopakumar said, “Let me, on behalf of ICTS, congratulate Chandranathan for this success and also his advisor, Pallavi, for successfully mentoring him. It is particularly satisfying to see our Phd students get these valuable opportunities to collaborate with leading groups worldwide. It is a reflection on their calibre as well as the mentoring by our faculty. I hope we see even more of this in the coming years.”
