ICTS graduate student Kunal Kumar has been selected for the prestigious graduate fellowship at the Kavli Institute for Theoretical Physics (KITP), Santa Barbara, for the coming semester.
Kunal works under the guidance of Samriddhi Sankar Ray on active turbulence and related topics. During his fellowship, he will pursue his research at KITP under the mentorship of Boris Shraiman.
This marks the third time an ICTS student has received the KITP graduate fellowship. Kunal’s selection follows closely on that of Rishabh Kaushik, who is currently at KITP as a graduate fellow for the ongoing semester.
Centre Director Rajesh Gopakumar said, “I am sure this strong track record of our students is a harbinger of many more of them in the future who will get this opportunity. It feels very heartwarming to have this recognition of the strength of our graduate programme at the international level.”
ICTS warmly congratulates Kunal on this achievement and Prof. Ray on his excellent mentorship.
