Professor Manas Kulkarni from ICTS-TIFR has been awarded the CEFIPRA (Indo-French Centre for the Promotion of Advanced Research) grant. He received it with his French collaborator Gregory Schehr for their collaborative proposal titled ‘Classical and quantum dynamics in out of equilibrium systems’. Gregory is a permanent CNRS research scientist (DR 1) at the Laboratoire de Physique Théorique et Hautes Energies and Professeur Chargé de Cours at Ecole Polytechnique.
Manas studies open quantum systems, low dimensional systems, integrable systems, field theory, and mathematical physics.
“Our congratulations to them on behalf of ICTS and warm wishes to continue the fruitful collaboration between our stat-mech group and their French colleagues,” said Professor Rajesh Gopakumar, Centre Director, ICTS-TIFR.
