Professor Manas Kulkarni from ICTS-TIFR has been awarded the Institute of Physics CNRS Guest Researcher for 2024. He will be hosted by Prof. Satya Majumdar at the Laboratory of Theoretical Physics and Statistical Models (LPTMS), Paris-Saclay, as a visiting professor in June 2024.

Manas plans to study time dynamics and non-equilibrium steady state properties when many body quantum or classical systems are subject to resetting. “One of the goals is to unravel the nature of correlations in such scenarios,” he said.

ICTS congratulates Manas and wishes him the best in further developing his collaborations with the CNRS physicists and, more broadly, Indo-French scientific ties.
