Parameswaran Ajith from ICTS-TIFR has been elected as part of the 2024 cohort of Fellows of the Indian Academy of Sciences. This is in recognition of his pioneering work on gravitational wave physics.
Ajith is a part of the international LIGO Scientific Collaboration. His work focuses on using the observation of gravitational waves to solve problems in astrophysics and cosmology, for example, to understand the nature of dark matter and to probe cosmic expansion.
ICTS congratulates Ajith and wishes him many more laurels worldwide.
