ICTS faculty member Prayush Kumar has been awarded the APJ Abdul Kalam HPC & AI Award. He has been recognised in the category of Young Researcher R&D in HPC Applications (including AI).

This prestigious award honours outstanding contributions to the field of high-performance computing, and recognises Prof. Kumar’s important work in numerical relativity and related code development. His research has significantly advanced computational approaches to complex problems in gravitational physics and large-scale scientific computing.

Prof. Kumar joins another ICTS faculty member, Samriddhi Sankar Ray, on the awardee list. Prof. Ray received the award in 2019.

We warmly congratulate Prof. Kumar on this well-deserved recognition and wish him continued success and many more breakthroughs in his scientific journey.
