ICTS faculty member Suvrat Raju has been elected a Fellow of the Indian National Science Academy (INSA), recognising his fundamental contributions to the study of quantum gravity and black holes.
Prof. Raju’s research explores fundamental questions at the interface of quantum theory, gravity and high-energy physics, with particular emphasis on quantum aspects of black holes. Prof. Raju has also been interested in the interplay between artificial intelligence and physics.
Prof. Raju’s election also adds to the strong representation of INSA Fellows within the ICTS community. The Centre now has 11 full-time faculty members who are INSA Fellows, along with six visiting faculty members.
ICTS warmly congratulates Prof. Raju on this very timely recognition of his pioneering work in quantum gravity and black holes.
