The International Centre for Theoretical Sciences of the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (ICTS-TIFR), a premier research centre (an Autonomous, Grant-in-Aid Institution of the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India), invites highly motivated and self-driven individuals for the post of Postdoctoral Researcher position under the project Internal gravity waves and deep ocean diffusivity. The candidates should have the following qualifications and skills.

Essential qualifications and requirements:

PhD from a recognized university in Atmosphere-Ocean Science/Applied and Computational Mathematics/Engineering/Physics/or similar related disciplines.

Basic understanding of geophysical flows and its numerical modelling.

Experience working with high resolution numerical simulations in HPC environments.

Programming skills in Python and experience dealing with MPI parallelized codes with big datasets.

Should have published papers in refereed journals with at least one co-authored paper in the field of geophysical fluid dynamics.
Maximum monthly fellowship: Rs. 87,100/- (all inclusive). The institute will not be providing accommodation for selected candidates.
