The International Centre for Theoretical Sciences (ICTS) of the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), a premier research centre (an Autonomous, Grant-in-Aid Institution of the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India), invites highly motivated and self-driven individuals for a recruitment for the post of Scientific Assistant to work on a project on ‘Anomalous heat transport in open classical interacting many-particle systems’ at its Bengaluru office. Job Profile: The project offers excellent opportunities for fundamental research. The study will be computational and analytical, and will involve study of anomalous behaviour in the transport of heat through materials in low dimensional systems at macroscopic level. The candidate will be expected to work on analytical and computational techniques for open classical stochastic systems with many interacting particles. The ideal project assistant should be extremely strong academically, especially in mathematics and scientific computation.
Upper Age Limit: 28 years (as on 01st Jan 2020)
Salary: Rs. 44,000/ month (consolidated)
