I am interested in a broad range of areas in Theoretical Condensed Matter Physics, with a focus on strongly interacting quantum and classical many-body systems, especially quantum impurity physics and theories of strong correlation phenomena in solids and in systems of cold atoms in optical lattices. I study these using a variety of quantum many body techniques, both equilibrium and non-equilibrium, including diagrammatic perturbation theory, functional integral methods and strong coupling perturbation theory; renormalization group methods, both perturbative and numerical (non-perturbative); dynamical effective medium methods including self-consistent cluster methods. At present I am particularly interested in the exotic physics encountered in twisted bilayers of 2-D materials, nonostructures obtained by embedding clusters of one metal in another, and in developing new approximations to study correlated quantum matter.
