Pranav Pandit's research revolves around the conversation between mathematics and physics that has arisen out of string theory. His work explores aspects of the geometry underlying quantum field theory and string theory using the language of higher category theory and derived geometry. The primary focus of his research has been on categorical structures underpinning the mirror symmetry phenomenon, which is a far-reaching relationship between algebraic geometry and symplectic geometry predicted by string theory.
