Hi, I am Saptarshi. I am a theoretical physics graduate student in the statistical physics and condensed matter theory group at ICTS. I currently work at the intersection of statistical physics, quantum many body physics and quantum information theory.
My current research interests are:
- Spatial and dynamical structure of quantum information in quantum many body systems both in equilibrium and out of equilibrium.
- Fate of quantum information in quantum many body systems (particularly in circuits), under extensive measurements.
- Thermalisation in quantum many body systems going beyond ETH, and its connection to entanglement and quantum resource.
Education:
- 2023–present: Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics, International Centre for Theoretical Sciences – Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Bengaluru.
Supervisor: Dr. Sthitadhi Roy - 2021–2023: Master of Science in Physics, Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.
- 2018–2021: Bachelor of Science in Physics, Jadavpur University, Kolkata.
