I am interested in understanding the dynamics of compact objects in general relativity by building effective field theory (EFT) models to capture their rich internal physics. During my PhD, I have studied tidal effects in black holes and neuron stars by combining worldline EFTs and black-hole/stellar perturbation theory. Currently, I am focusing on improving the state-of-the-art in modeling dynamical tides in spinning neutron stars. I am also exploring applications of my expertise on gravitational-wave (GW) scattering off compact objects to the exciting domain of GW lensing with the Astrophysics and Relativity group, and my expertise on EFTs in the context of the two-body problem with members of the High-energy (String Theory and Quantum Gravity) group.
