This school is part of the annual series of ICTS summer schools on gravitational-wave (GW) astronomy. This year’s edition will focus on using GW observations for cosmological exploration.
Courses:
-
Probing the early universe using GW observations: Chiara Caprini, CERN & University of Geneva (Online)
-
Cosmography using GW standard sirens: Surhud More, Inter University Centre for Astronomy & Astrophysics, Pune
-
Probing dark matter using GW observations: Ranjan Laha, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore
-
Probing large-scale structure using GW observations: Tirthankar Roy Choudhury, National Centre for Radio Astrophysics, Pune
Eligibility criteria: The school is primarily meant for graduate students and postdocs working in GW astrophysics, cosmology and related fields. A small number of highly motivated senior undergraduates can also be considered. A background in general relativity and cosmology is a prerequisite for the school.
ICTS is committed to building an environment that is inclusive, non-discriminatory and welcoming of diverse individuals. We especially encourage the participation of women and other underrepresented groups.
