The program “Probing Quantum Matter: Topology to Emerging Devices” will be held at International Centre for Theoretical Sciences (ICTS), Bengaluru, bringing together leading researchers working at the forefront of quantum materials research. The meeting will feature invited talks by internationally recognized experts in theory, experiments, and device engineering.
The program will span a broad range of topics in modern quantum matter, including Topological Physics, Quantum Materials, Spintronics, Superconductivity, and Magnetism. Discussions will focus on how fundamental concepts—such as topology and correlated electronic states—can be probed experimentally and harnessed to design next-generation quantum and electronic devices.
By bringing together scientists working across theory, materials synthesis, advanced characterization, and device fabrication, the conference aims to foster interdisciplinary interactions and stimulate new directions toward functional devices based on emergent quantum phenomena.
Eligibility Criteria: Senior PhD students, Postdoctoral Fellows, and Research faculties working in the related field. Master's students are also welcome to apply.
Limited partial travel reimbursement may be available exclusively to Indian-affiliated PhD students who lack contingency grants or are unable to secure funding from their home institution. Participants from premier institutions are expected to arrange their own travel funding. Please mention your requirement in the registration form with a valid justification.
Accommodation will be provided for outstation participants at ICTS on-campus guest house or ICTS Hostel.
ICTS is committed to building an environment that is inclusive, non-discriminatory and welcoming of diverse individuals. We especially encourage the participation of women and other under-represented groups.
