Abstract
In this talk, I will review of well known Bardeen–Cooper–Schrieffer (BCS) theory. I will discuss this in the context of copper-oxide based high-temperature superconductors. I will present some of my results based on experimental data, which indicate a non-BCS pairing mechanism. I will discuss the limitations of BCS theory, and a possible mechanism of pairing in cuprates.
