Abstract
I present evidence that $SU(2)$ lattice theory integrals on a finite lattice can be approximated (in the thermodynamic limit) by integrals over the $SU(2)$ character variety of an associated surface. By results of Goldman and Jeffrey-Weitsman the formalism of Duistermaat-Heckman applies to the latter. (http://arxiv.org/abs/2206.07455)
